I am writing to you today inviting your participation in the search process currently underway for our next Assistant Superintendent of Special Education & Student Services.

MPS is currently seeking qualified candidates for the soon-to-be open position of Assistant Superintendent of Special Education & Student Services. This qualified candidate will replace our current Director of Student Services Joan Bowen, who informed the district earlier this year she will be retiring in September, 2026.

In an effort to have an effective, thorough, and open-minded search process, we recognize the importance of collaboration with our school communities.
